Where can I obtain a registration form?
At www.grand-raid.ch, under "Registration"

How can I register if I do not have internet?
To request a registration form: the Office of the Great Raid, Road of Italy 148, 1958 Uvrier (fax no. +41 27 203 00 11). There is no pre-registration and a registration form without documentation of payment is not valid.

Is there a cut-off date for registration?
As long as there are places available you can be registered. Only registrations from Hérémence are limited to 2,500 people.

What is the price of registration?
The price depends on the starting place (see the description on our internet site).

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
No. Your registration can be confirmed on our site under "datasport" and the confirmation can be downloaded from the site before the race.

Will there be anti-doping check-ups at the race?
Yes

When will the results be published and how?
They will be published on our internet site under "datasport" as the competitors arrive.

Can we organize a group departure for all members of a club or for the employees of a company?
Yes. The departures can be grouped but not in the 1str groups.

What are the criteria for leaving in the 1st groups?
Registration for the 1st  groups depends on the time elapsed during the last 3 editions.

How are the groups organized at the beginning?
On the basis of time of the 3 preceding editions for all the groups.

Is the route marked out at the beginning of the year, and if not, from when?
Yes. But certain sectors, such as Pas-de-Lona, are covered with snow for long periods of time. The organization is of course not responsible for the individual use of the course.

Where will the vehicle inspections be held and what are the schedules?
The vehicle inspections are organized at the barracks in Sion and the schedules are listed on the registration form. Instructions for getting there will be available on the day of inspection.

How is lodging organized? Where can one reserve accommodations?
You need to contact the stations directly. Their addresses appear on the Internet site.
Other information about reservations for the areas of Sion and Sierre can be obtained by calling +41(0) 848 848 027.

What happens if weather conditions do not permit the race to take place?
It can be postponed to Sunday. In addition, the departure can take place but the race can also be discontinued in the course of day.

How is return of the bicycles and other material organized after the race?
The bicycles and other material are returned by means of a bus and trailer upon previous registration (see the site) or directly on the spot.

Is there an emergency number in the event of accident?
Yes! The number is 027 475 42 76

Is the system of timing the same as that of the previous year, i.e., with the carpets and the sms?
Yes. The system of timing is identical to that of the previous year.

Do you have videos/DVDs of the 2008 edition?
No! However we still have DVDs in French and English of the 2005 race.

I would like to know why the distances were modified. 121 km or 131 km?
A more precise control was made at the distances using GPS. Certain modifications of course were also carried out.
